Culinary creative Ali Currey-Voumard wants to redefine what it means to be a chef.
At age 16, Ali moved to Melbourne from Tasmania to pursue cooking in some of Melbourne’s most renowned kitchens including Cumulus Inc and The Builders Arms Hotel. Since then, she has collaborated with some of Melbourne's most exciting artists, producers, wine experts and set designers on a range of hybrid food ventures, and is passionate in her pursuit of creating a new a new eating culture.
In 2014, Ali became the founding chef for Otis Armada - a series of innovative, one night only dinners based in Melbourne.
Ali’s fascination with raw produce and fermentation is prominent in Ebullient, a collaborative exhibition at Grey Gardens Projects, which will see her obsession with all things bubbling challenged and explored.
